Junior National Qualifier Paige MacEachern Verbally Commits to UCLA for 2021
NEW COMMIT: Summer Juniors qualifier Paige MacEachern of Boca Raton, Fla. has verbally committed to UCLA for the fall of 2021.
She’ll suit up for the Bruins as a member of the class of 2025 along with Eva Carlson, Ana Jih-Schiff, Kathryn Lundh, and Ashley Stenstrom.
Primarily an IMer, MacEachern swims year-round with Pine Crest Swimming and recently earned three gold medals at the FGC Speedo Winter Championships and raced two events at Junior Nationals this past summer. Last short course season, she placed fifth in the 200m IM at Southern Zone South Sectionals.
Paige MacEachern’s best times include:
- 200 IM – 2:01.81
- 400 IM – 4:23.93
- 100 breast – 1:03.55
- 200 breast – 2:19.30
A current junior at Boca Raton High School, Paige MacEachern is already a six-time Florida 4A State Championship finalist. The USA Swimming Scholastic All-American finished fifth in the 200 IM and eighth in the 100 breast as a junior while taking third and fourth, respectively, in those events during her sophomore season.
She will be crosstown rivals with current Pine Crest teammate Andrea Santander, who will be a freshman at USC next season.
