Junior National Qualifier Georgia Kahler Lends Verbal to Minnesota
NEW COMMIT: Louisville, Kentucky native and Junior National qualifier Georgia Kahler has announced her verbal commitment to the University of Minnesota beginning in Fall 2024.
She told Swimming World:
“I am overjoyed to announce my verbal commitment to continue my athletic and academic career at the University of Minnesota!! I’m so grateful for this opportunity and could not thank my coaches, family, friends, and the Minnesota staff enough for the support and encouragement along the way. A special thank you to Coach Mike DeBoor and Coach Herm for helping me through this process and keeping the love of swimming in my heart. I’m very excited to be apart of this incredible team and school. Go Gophers!”
A breaststroker and sprint freestlyer, Kahler does her club swimming with Lakeside Swim Team. She most recently competed at Indianapolis Sectionals where she finished 15th in the 100m breast after winning that event at the Kentucky 13&O Championships.
Her best times include:
- 100 breast – 1:02.74
- 200 breast – 2:17.56
- 50 free – 23.60
- 100 free – 51.69
Currently a junior at Sacred Heart, Kahler helped her team win the Kentucky state title this past season.
