Junior National Qualifier Brendan Hausdorf Announces Verbal to LSU for 2021-22
NEW COMMIT: Louisiana State University has secured a new verbal commitment for the 2021-22 season and beyond from Brendan Hausdorf of Marietta, Ga.
Hausdorf, who owns a pair of Junior National standards, swims year-round with Marietta Marlins and most recently earned a best time at Junior Nationals this past summer after placing sixth in both the 200m free and 400m free at Georgia LCM Seniors. Last winter, he earned three silvers and a bronze at Georgia SCY Seniors before going on to register five top-10 finishes at TYR Junior Nationals.
A current junior at Lassiter High School, Hausdorf is already a four-time Georgia 6-7A State Championship finalist. He placed third in the 200 free and fifth in the 100 free during his sophomore season while finishing second in the 100 free and fourth in the 200 IM as a freshman.
His best times include:
- 100 free – 46.68
- 200 free – 1:39.98
- 500 free – 4:36.65
- 200 IM – 1:53.70
- 400 IM – 4:01.89
Hausdorf will add valuable freestyle depth to the Tigers’ lineup both individually and on relays when he arrives in Baton Rouge as a member of the class of 2025. Although he’s not in scoring range just yet at the SEC Championships, he has consistently made improvements each season with 1.5 years of club swimming still to go.
