Junior National Finalist Alexis Cook Chooses Mizzou For 2026
NEW COMMIT: The University of Missouri has earned a verbal commitment for Fall 2026 from in-state Junior National qualifier Alexis Cook out of Ballwin, Mo.
She told Swimming World:
“I am so excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic careers at the University of Missouri! I want to thank my coaches, teammates, and family for pushing me to where I am today and supporting me through everything. Thank you coaches for this opportunity, I can’t wait to be a tiger! Go MIZ”
Cook does her club swimming with CSP Tideriders and most recently earned three best times at Juniors West where she placed 12th in the 200 back and 20th in the 500 free. She finished seventh in the 200m back this past summer at NCSA Long Course Championships, also taking 18th in the 100m back.
Her best times include:
- 100 back – 55.34
- 200 back – 1:57.98
- 500 free – 4:53.48
- 1000 free – 10:10.07
- 1650 free – 16:17:22.55
Currently a junior at Parkway South High School, Cook earned silver medals in the 100 back and 500 free at the 2024 Missouri Class 2 State Championships. She took second and third, respectively, in those events at the state meet during her freshman season.
