Junior National Bronze Medalist Caroline Bricker Verbally Commits to Stanford for 2023
NEW COMMIT: Stanford University has received its first verbal commitment for the fall of 2023, and it’s a big one: Caroline Bricker of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Regarding her commitment, she said:
“I am beyond excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Stanford University! Thank you to my family, friends, coaches, and teammates who have helped me achieve this life long dream! I’m so excited to be apart of such an amazing team!!”
Bricker trains year-round with Colorado Springs Area Swimming and finaled in three events at the Phillips 66 International Team Trials most recently. Back in December, she earned bronze in both the 100 and 200 breast as well as took fourth in the 200 fly.
Her best times include:
- 100 breast: 59.73
- 200 breast: 2:10.63
- 400 IM: 4:13.02
- 200 IM: 1:59.37
- 100 fly: 53.20
- 200 fly: 1:56.71
A rising senior at Cheyenne Mountain High School, Bricker won the 200 IM and was the 100 breast runner-up at the 2022 Colorado 4A State Championships. As a sophomore, she collected the gold medal in both the 100 fly and 200 IM, also winning the 100 breast and 200 IM during her rookie season.
Bricker’s 100 breast time would’ve earned an NCAA invite this past season. At the Pac-12 level, she would’ve finished second in the 100 breast, seventh in the 400 IM, and eighth in both the 200 breast and 200 fly in 2022.
