Josh Zuchowski Breaks Michael Andrew’s 13-14 NAG Record in 100 Back at TYR Pro Swim Series in Richmond
14-year-old Josh Zuchowski broke the 13-14 NAG record in the 100 back that was previously held by Michael Andrew on Friday night at the TYR Pro Swim Series in Richmond, Virginia. Zuchowski swam a 56.62 and placed third in the B-Final of the 100 back, lowering Andrew’s record that had stood since 2014.
Zuchowski previously swam a 57.11 four weeks ago in Clearwater and was third all-time in the NAG rankings. He swims for the Flood Aquatics Swim Team in West Palm Beach, Florida.

At that same meet in Clearwater, Zuchowski also broke the 13-14 NAG record in the 200 back that was previously held by 2004 Olympic Champion Aaron Peirsol. Zuchowski slammed down a 2:00.97 to lower Peirsol’s record of 2:02.78 from 1998.
Zuchowski is currently the youngest male swimmer to have already qualified for the Olympic Trials. Zuchowski will have a chance to lower the NAG record again tomorrow at the TYR Pro Swim Series in the 200 back.
