Joseph Schooling Scorches 100 Fly During Big 12 Prelims
AUSTIN – Texas continued to put up astonishing performances at the Big 12 Championships as Joseph Schooling threatened an 11-year-old school record in the 100-yard fly.
Men’s Meet
Joseph Schooling became only the second Longhorn ever to break the 45-second mark in the 100-yard fly with a 44.90 NCAA A cut this morning. That’s just a bit off Ian Crocker’s school and Big 12 record of 44.72 that has stood since 2004.
Texas’ Will Glass (45.96) and Jack Conger (46.01) took second and third this morning.
School’s time makes him eighth-fastest all time in the event.

Being pedantic, but nobody “places”, or “takes second” in prelims, you just “qualify”. And anticipating the next article, it’s not literally the finale (although I understand the poetry), it’s finals… but keep up the good work.
