Jenny Thompson Supports New Hampshire Aquarium
DOVER, NH, Aug. 1. ON Thursday August 8th, 10-time Olympic Medalist Jenny Thompson with join a cruise to benefit the Seacoast Aquarium and Science Museum project in her hometown.
Thompson, the most medaled American female Olympic athlete of all-time will be the honored guest on a cruise to benefit the Citizens for A Seacoast Aquarium, a non-profit organization developing the aquarium and science museum.
Thompson has become both a member and an advocate of the aquarium project: "I was honored to be asked to support the aquarium project. I really believe in environmental education and I love supporting
organizations that work with kids.
"Of course as a swimmer, I love the water. I have always enjoyed visiting aquariums and know others from
around the region will come to support it. I envision a place where people can learn about aquatic life in the area, as well as the natural habitats on land.
"I think it is important for people to understand these delicate environments. This area is beautiful and I think the aquarium will only accentuate this fact."
