Japan Announces 34-Swimmer Olympic Team

Today, the Japan Swimming Federation (JSF) announced a 34-swimmer team for the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in August. The announcement followed the 2016 Japan Championships which were last week (April 4-10) in Tokyo. Team members are:
-males (17): Naito Ehara, Takuro Fujii, Hiromasa Fujimori, Kosuke Hagino, Junya Hasegawa, Ryosuke Irie, Masaki Kaneko, Kenji Kobase, Yuki Kobori, Junya Koga, Yasuhiro Koseki, Takeshi Matsuda, Katsumi Nakamura, Masato Sakai, Daiya Seto, Shinri Shioura and Ippei Watanabe.
-females (17): Tomomi Aoki, Suzuka Hasegawa, Natsumi Hoshi, Chihiro Igarashi, Rikako Ikee, Runa Imai, Rie Kanetou, Yayoi Matsumoto, Sachi Mochida, Natsumi Sakai, Sakiko Shimizu, Satomi Suzuki, Miho Takahashi, Miho Teramura, Miki Uchida, Kanako Watanabe and Misaki Yamaguchi.
