Jacob Whittle won the men’s 100 freestyle as the Edinburgh International Meet concluded after three days at the Royal Commonwealth Pool.
Lewis Burras set a PB of 48.45 in the morning heats, a day after going 21.84 in the 50, before opting out of the final as did Duncan Scott.
Tom Dean, winner of the 200 on the opening night, went out hard and turned first in 23.99.
The action was in the centre lanes though with Whittle taking the touch in 49.67 ahead of Andreas Vazaios (49.80), Dean (49.82) and Matt Richards (50.21).
Freya Anderson pipped Anna Hopkin by 0.02 in the women’s 100 free.
Hopkin had a clear lead of 0.52 at halfway and was still ahead going into the final metres only for Anderson to take the touch in 54.55 to 54.57.
Abbie Wood dominated the women’s 200IM, coming away on the final 50 to win in 2:10.64 with Freya Colbert second in 2:14.63.
James Guy claimed a clear win in the 100 fly in 52.40 ahead of Bath teammate Ed Mildred (53.53).
James Wilby claimed the breaststroke clean sweep by adding the 50br skins – knockout races that conclude with two swimmers – to his 100 and 200 titles with Greg Butler taking second in each race.
Louise Hansson dominated the women’s 50 fly skins to take the final ahead of Keanna MacInnes.
Felix Auboeck powered to the 400 free title n 3:50.92.
Brodie Williams held off the fast finish of Craig McNally to win the 200 back in 2:00.59 with Katie Shanahan coming through in the final metres to pip Honey Osrin in the women’s race in 2:12.72 to 2:12.86.
Laura Rodriguez Sanchez came through on the final 50 to win the women’s 200br in 2:29.13 with her fellow Spanish swimmer Angela Martinez Guillen adding the 1500 to her 800 free title in 16:42.27.
