Georgia native Jackie Hill has given her verbal commitment today to swim for the University of Kentucky via her Twitter account.
Hill is ranked third among recruits in the state of Georgia according to collegeswimming.com and is the top-ranked breaststroker in the state. At this spring’s 2016 NCSA Junior National Championships Hill made the ‘A’ final for both the 100 and 200 breast, finishing sixth and eighth respectively. With prelims being swum in short course yards and finals in long course meters, Hill delivered a personal best in the 100 breast SCY when she posted a 1:01.85.
The Kentucky Wildcats are setting themselves up for a solid 2017-18 season having already picked up a commitment from Nora Fullenkamp. While Fullenkamp will be a huge addition as a sprinter, Hill will add some much needed depth in both the breaststroke distances as well as the 100 fly.
Hill’s Best Times:
- 50 Breast: 29.51 SCY/34.18 LCM
- 100 Breast: 1:01.85 SCY/1:12.07 LCM
- 200 Breast: 2:14.74 SCY/2:24.07 LCM
- 200 IM: 2:04.97 SCY/2:24.07 LCM
- 400 IM: 4:20.25 SCY/5:08.02 LCM
- 100 Fly: 56.15 SCY/1:05.03 LCM
- 22 Fly: 2:01.97 SCY/2:22.73 LCM
