IUPUI swimming coach Matt Bos has put in his resignation.

College officials confirmed Bos has will resign, effective May 10, because of family relocation.

“My wife, Amanda, has worked incredibly hard and has had a very successful career. She has been offered a position which we could not turn down and will be incredibly good for our family,” Bos told Swimming World. I’m going to miss being on deck at the NAT — and most of all the people. I look forward to watching IUPUI continue to grow and complete for Horizon League championships.”

Bos took over as head coach of IUPUI in 2011.

Since taking the helm of the program, Bos has turned the Jaguars in to perennial contenders in the Summit League and Horizon League. Under Bos’ guidance, the men’s program has finished second four times and third once, while the women have finished second twice and third twice.

In 2013, he was named Summit League Women’s Coach of the Year.

Bos is a ASCA level 4 certified coach and earned both his bachelor’s (2000) and masters (2002) degrees from EIU as a member of the Panthers swim team from 1996-2000. He was a two-time Midwest Classic Champion in the breaststroke and was named team captain as a senior in 2000.

He and his wife Amanda, a former Division I swimmer, have two daughters.
