ISHOF Coaches Clinic, Featuring Elite Names in Sport, To Be Held in Fort Lauderdale During Hall of Fame Weekend
As part of the 2023 International Swimming Hall of Fame Induction Weekend, the first ISHOF Coaches Clinic will be held from Sept. 29-Oct. 1 in Fort Lauderdale. It will be a phenomenal weekend in South Florida, with several significant events on tap which feature a number of the biggest names in the history of the sport.
The ISHOF Coaches Clinic is a new addition to Hall of Fame weekend and will provide attending coaches with the opportunity to learn from and engage with several legends. Hall of Fame and Olympic head coaches Mark Schubert and Bob Bowman will headline the clinic, along with ISHOF athlete honorees Anthony Nesty and Dara Torres, both Olympic champions during their competitive days. Nesty, of course, is now the head coach of the University of Florida.
Olympic coach and former University of Southern California head man Dave Salo will also be part of the program. In the coming weeks, additional clinicians will be revealed.
The Coaches Clinic will be part of a weekend in which the International Swimming Hall of Fame
inducts its 2023 class and presents several awards to individuals who have made an impact on the sport. Bowman and his longtime pupil, Michael Phelps, will be part of the swimming class, along with Missy Franklin, Kosuke Kitajima, Kirsty Coventry and Cesar Cielo.
The cost for the ISHOF Coaches Clinic is $175 if paid by August 31, with the price at $185 from Sept. 1-28. Coaches who pay at the clinic will be charged $200, and assistant coaches who accompany their head coach will receive a $50 discount. A discount will be available for coaches to attend the ISHOF induction ceremony on Sept. 30.
Information on the various ceremonies can be found at this link, including hotel information.
