Isabel Wolk Heads To West Coast With 2026 Verbal To Cal

NEW COMMIT: U.S. Open qualifier Isabel Wolk of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, will head to the West Coast for her college career. Wolk has verbally committed to continue her academic and swimming career at Cal starting in Fall 2026.

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“l am grateful and excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of California, Berkeley. Thank you to my family, coaches, and teammates for your continuous support. I would also like to thank the coaches at Cal for giving me this amazing opportunity. Go Bears!!”

Wolk trains year-round with North Carolina Aquatic Club and last competed at the NCSA Summer Championships where she placed eighth in the 100m free. Last December, she raced to 18th in the 200 free at Juniors East.

She also earned silver medals in the 200m free and 200m IM at the ESSZ Speedo Spring Championships in March. That was after she took third in the 1000 free and fifth in the 400 IM at North Carolina Seniors two weeks prior.

Her best times include:

  • 1000 free – 10:11.17

Currently a junior at East Chapel Hill High School, Wolk placed second in the 200 free and third in the 100 free at the 2024 North Carolina 4A State Championships. She took fourth and sixth, respectively, in those events as a freshman.

2024-25 marks Cal’s first year competing in the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Golden Bears won the 2024 Pac-12 title.
