Industry News: FINIS Sponsored Athlete Peter Reid Wins 2003 Ironman Triathlon World Championship
KAILUA-KONA, Hawii, October 21. FINIS, Inc., the leading innovator of competitive aquatic products, today announced that Peter Reid, the first athlete the company has sponsored, won the 2003 Ironman Triathlon World Championship, on Saturday, October 18 with a swim time of 00:50:36 and finishing time of 8:22:36. In interviews immediately following the race, Reid commented “I had the best swim of my life.”

The Tempo Trainer is a small, electronic device that attaches to the swim cap or goggle strap, and transmits an audible beep to develop consistency of stroke rate.
