NEW COMMIT: Indiana University has scored a big verbal commitment for its growing Class of 2026 from Oliver Dawson of Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada.
He will join Brody Engelstad and Sam Wolf in Bloomington as a member of the Hoosiers’ Class of 2030.
Regarding his commitment, he said:
“I’m excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my swimming career and academic studies at Indiana University! I would like to thank my family for their support in making this decision and my dad for being my coach and starting me on my journey. Without his wisdom and guidance, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Thank you to @raylooze and @corychitwood and the rest of the team at IU for giving me this opportunity. Go Hoosiers!!!!”
A breaststroker, Dawson trains with the Grande Prairie Piranhas under his father, Alex Dawson, who is the head coach and director of swimming.
