First Colony Swim Club’s Victoria Tillman is staying local for college. The Sugar Land, Texas resident has given her verbal commitment to the University of Houston.
Her best times are:
- 50 Fly 25.00
- 100 Fly 55.27
- 200 Fly 2:03.00
- 200 IM 2:07.61
- 400 IM 4:28.83
Tillman explained to Swimming World why she chose Houston,
“I chose the University of Houston because of its excellence in academics and athletic programs! I am very excited that I get to continue my swimming career with such a close proximity to home. I felt that Coach Ryan would be a great coach for me in my next 4 years of swimming! I cannot wait to see what the future holds for me as a cougar!”
She’ll join a class that includes Sidney Trimm, Mykenzie Leehy and Montana Lloyd. At the American Athletic Conference Championship Tillman would have pulled in some big points as a 100 butterfly A finalist. Only Sharo Rodriguez Rivera was faster for the Cougars. The two will have a year to train together. Tillman would have landed in the B final of the 200 butterfly last year. Houston had two swimmers score in that event.
