Hoosiers Score 2021 In-State Verbal from Breaststroker Kabria Chapman
NEW COMMIT: Breaststroker Kabria Chapman of Bargersville, Ind. has opted to stay in-state for her college career and has handed her verbal commitment to the Hoosiers for the fall of 2021.
Chapman, who owns the Winter Juniors cut in the 100 breast, swims year-round with Franklin Regional Swim Team and placed seventh in the 50m breast this past summer at NCSAs after earning a best time at Indiana LCM Seniors. Last winter, the NISCA All-American competed in the 100 breast at Juniors East. A current junior at Franklin Community High School, Chapman placed fifth in the 100 breast as a sophomore and seventh in the event during her freshman season at the Indiana State Championships.
Her best times include:
- 100 breast – 1:03.60
- 200 breast – 2:28.58
- 100m breast – 1:13.99
- 200m breast – 2:43.72
Chapman will join Elyse Heiser, Anna Peoplowski and Mariah Denigan in Bloomington as a member of Indiana’s class of 2025.
