Hokies Secure 2025 Verbal Pledge From Hungary’s Benedek Tóth
NEW COMMIT: Virginia Tech has secured a verbal commitment for the 2025-26 season and beyond from Benedek Tóth of Budapest, Hungary.
He told Swimming World:

Tóth most recently competed at the World Cup in Budapest where he earned best times in the 50m, 100m, and 200m fly. In Summer 2022, he advanced to the semifinals of the 100m fly at the European Youth Olympic Festival.
In LCM, his best times include:

- 100m back – 58.65
- 50m fly – 26.26
- 100m fly – 55.79
- 200m fly – 2:04.94
In SCY, those times convert to:
- 50 back – 24.17
- 100 back – 50.13
- 50 fly – 22.97
