The 2017 arena Pro Swim Series splash back into action tomorrow morning with the first session. Heat sheets are now available and exciting races are expected with a total of eight events on the docket.
Events:
- Women’s 100 Free
- Men’s 100 Free
- Women’s 200 Breast
- Men’s 200 Breast
- Women’s 100 Fly
- Men’s 100 Fly
- Women’s 400 Free
- Men’s 400 Free
The 2016 U.S. Women’s Olympic team will have a mini-reunion in the 100 free prelims as Olympians Lia Neal, Simone Manuel, Olivia Smoliga, and Amanda Weir highlight the circle seeded heats. Manuel, the Olympic gold medalist in this event, enters as the top seed with a 52.70.
The star power continues into the men’s 100 free, where Nathan Adrian, Matt Grevers, Anthony Ervin, Conor Dwyer, and more are slated to swim. Adrian and Ervin enter as the top seeds, with Adrian having the only sub 48-second seed time.
Katie Meili and Josh Prenot enter the meet as the top seeds in the women’s and men’s 200 breast, while Kelsi Worrell and Tom Shields enter with the top seeds in the 100 fly heats.
Olympic distance ace Katie Ledecky will kick off the Mesa Pro Series with a showing in the 400 free, where she is currently seeded first with a 3:56.46. This will be Ledecky’s first long course meet since Stanford’s NCAA Championship win.
