Harvard Collects First Class of 2025 Verbal from Texas 6A State Finalist Harris Durham

NEW COMMIT: Harvard University has earned a new verbal commitment* for the 2021-22 season and beyond from Harris Durham of Dallas, Texas.

He is the Crimson’s first verbal for their class of 2025.

Regarding his commitment, he said:

“I am thrilled to announce my verbal commitment to the application process to continue my academic and swimming career at Harvard University! I am so grateful for my family, coaches, teachers and friends for being my biggest supporters that have helped make this possible. I can’t wait to begin the next chapter of my life with this amazing team and incredible coaching staff. Go Crimson!”

A talented freestyler and IMer, Durham swims year-round with City of Richardson Swim Team and most recently competed at College Station Sectionals where he recorded a best time. Last summer, he raced seven events at Austin Sectionals before finaling in three events at the American LCM Championships.

His best times include:

  • 100 free – 46.34
  • 200 free – 1:40.15
  • 200 IM – 1:54.43
  • 400 IM – 4:06.36

Also competing for Richardson High School, Durham placed 12th in the 200 free and 14th in the 100 free as a junior at the Texas 6A State Championship finalist. He also finished second and third, respectively, in those events at the Region 02 meet in 2020.
