Hallie Wilson Lends Verbal to Lehigh Mountain Hawks
NEW COMMIT: Lehigh has scored a verbal commitment for the fall of 2019 from Richmond, Va. native Hallie Wilson who will join the Mountain Hawks as a member of the class of 2023.
Wilson swims year-round with Poseidon Swimming and capped off her summer season with 100% best times at NCSAs after registering four finals appearances at VA LCM Seniors. She raced five events at NCSAs last winter after finishing second in the 500 free at the Tom Dolan Invite. Wilson has made significant improvements over the past two seasons, dropping three seconds from her 100 free and 100 back and shaving six off her 200 back.
She told Swimming World:
“Lehigh is an outstanding school both academically and athletically. The art program here is just what I was looking for, along with the competitive swim program. The team is one big family that I’m beyond happy to be a part of. The campus is beautiful and very open which is exactly what I needed. Rob and Eric are fantastic coaches and I can’t wait for freshman year! Go Mountain Hawks!”
Her best times include:
- 100 back – 58.75
- 200 back – 2:05.82
- 100 free – 53.80
When she suits up for the Mountain Hawks next fall, Wilson will join a backstroke training group that includes Anna Francisco and Nicole Shek. Under head coach Rob Herb, Lehigh finished third overall in the team standings at the 2018 Patriot League Championships.
