Vivian Kritikou has committed to swim for Indiana State University beginning in the fall.

Kritikou is a distance swimmer with open water success as well. She hails from Thessaloniki, Greece where she trains with Club Iraklis Swimming. She is a member of the Greek Junior National Team.

According to Hellenic Aquatics, she is the “among the most talented and promising female junior swimmers of Greece.”

Kritikou’s decision was “based on several key factors among others the harmonious balance between academics and swimming programs” as well as the relationship she developed with Coach Matt Leach.

Her best times are (SCY Conversion):

  • 100 Free 58.99 (51.70)
  • 200 Free 2:07.10 (1:51.63)
  • 400 Free 4:20.46 (4:49.63)
  • 800 Free 8:58.25 (10:08.22)
  • 1500 Free 17:22.02 (17:02.45)

Kritikou’s converted 500 freestyle would have been second in the Missouri Valley Conference. She also would have scored in the 200 and 1650 freestyles.
