Shoults swims with the Mission Viejo Nadadores and Santa Margarita Catholic High School in Rancho Santa Margarita, California. He brings an impressive résumé with him:
Event SCY LCM
200 FR 1:34.54 1:50.10*
400/500 FR 4:15.56 3:52.78*
1650 FR 15:14.40 16:14.38
100 FLY 49.26 54.69*
200 FLY 1:45.32 1:59.15*
200 IM 1:48.28 2:03.83*
400 IM 3:59.51 4:30.02

Shoults will immediately be a force for the Cardinal, who no longer have NCAA champion and American record-holder David Nolan. Shoults’s swimming arsenal should provide Stanford with a huge boost in the mid-distance free, fly, and IM races.
Shoults recently broke the national independent high school record in the 200 freestyle, and ended the 2014-2015 season as the fastest high schooler in the 200 and 500 freestyles.
Stanford finished sixth at last year’s NCAA Championship.
