Men’s 50 Free

2016 NCAA Champion Serghei Golban defended his title in the splash and dash, touching the wall in 19.53 to get to the top of the podium once again. While off of his NCAA record of 19.18, Golban was still a good 3-tenths of a second ahead of second place finisher Mattia Schirru from Delta State University (19.80). Queens junior Paul Pijulet pulled out a nice swim from lane 8, moving from 8th up to 3rd with a 19.83 to earn a spot on the podium.
