Georgia Bulldogs Swim Past Florida Gators in SEC Women’s Showdown
The No. 4 Georgia Bulldogs swam past No. 10 Florida 184-116 in a women’s SEC showdown on Friday.
Georgia’s Zoie Hartman out-dueled Florida’s Vanessa Pearl to win the 200 IM in 2:00.27, while Pearl finished in 2:01.49.
Hartman also won the 100 breaststroke in 1:00.56, ahead of teammate Danielle Dellatorre (1:00.99) and Pearl (1:01).
In the 200 breast, Dellatorre won with a 2:11.38, followed by Hartman (2:13.36) and Pearl (2:13.56).
Georgia’s Maxine Parker won the 50 free (22.80) and 100 free (49.86), holding off Florida’s Katie Mack in both events.
The Bulldogs also got a strong performance from senior Courtney Harnish, who won the 200 free (1:47.04) and 500 free (4:47.51). The Bulldogs finished 1-2 in both.
Georgia’s Callie Dickinson won the 200 back in 1:58.85 and the 100 fly in 53.73 ahead of teammate Dakota Luther (54.49.)
Luther won the 200 fly for the Georgia Bulldogs in 1:58.95, leading a 1-2-3 finish with Dickinson (1:58.06) and Harnish (1:59.53).
Georgia’s Olivia Anderson won the 1000 free (9:57.35).
In the 200 medley relay, Georgia Bulldogs’ Gabi Fa’Amausili, Hartman, Luther and Parker won in 1:39.63, holding off Florida’s Lain Shaboz, Cecilia Porter, Kenady Beil and Mack (1:39.97).
Parker, Fa’Amausili, Harnish and Dellatorre won the 400 free relay in 3:20.62, nearly four seconds ahead of the Gators.
Florida’s Shaboz won the 100 back in 54.86.
The Gators had a strong day on the diving boards as Elizabeth Perez (343.13), Ashley McCool (318.75) and Emma Whitner (293.48) went 1-2-3 on 3-meter.
Meanwhile, McCool led a 1-2 finish on 1-meter for Florida.

Dick Beaver me previous share was a repost of last year. Looks like Dawgs have KY tomorrow and Gators have Mizzou. FL/GA next week!! And I’m not accusing the good people of UGA swimming of anything nefarious. But….. they probably cheated. I demand a recount!! Go gators!!
