NEW COMMIT: The University of South Carolina has received a new verbal commitment for the 2024-25 season and beyond from Emma Reiser of Sugar Hill, Georgia.

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“I am beyond excited and blessed to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of South Carolina. I want to thank God, my coaches, family, and friends for their endless support! I would also like to thank the amazing coaching staff at South Carolina for giving me this opportunity! Go gamecocks!”

Reiser does her club swimming with Swim Atlanta and is a Junior National qualifier. She finished 16th in the 500 free at Juniors East back in December and earned four top-4 finishes at the Georgia LCM Senior Championships last summer, including silver in both the 400m free and 800m free.

Her best times include:

  • 200 free- 1:48.41
  • 500 free- 4:49.38
  • 1650 free- 16:39.57
  • 200 fly- 2:05.08
  • 400 IM- 4:29.53

Currently a junior at North Gwinnett High School, Reiser won the 500 free and took third in the 200 free at the 2023 Georgia 7A State Championships. She earned gold and silver, respectively, in those events during her sophomore season.

Reiser’s best times in the 500 free and mile would’ve ranked third on the Gamecocks’ roster last season, making her a valuable asset to their distance program.
