Futures Qualifier Jordan Claypoole Selects Ohio
NEW COMMIT: Ohio University has received a verbal commitment for the 2024-25 season and beyond from Futures qualifier Jordan Claypoole of Parkersburg, West Virginia.
She told Swimming World:
“I am honored to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and swimming career at Ohio University. Shout out to my family and all of my coaches for your guidance and support. And a special thank you to Coach Mason for the incredible opportunity to be a part of the OU Swimming and Diving program. Let’s go Bobcats!”
Claypoole does her club swimming with Bobcat Swim Club and earned three best times at the West Virginia Short Course Championships back in March before going on to compete at Indianapolis Sectionals. She finaled in the 50m fly at Cleveland Sectionals last summer.
Her best times include:
- 50 free – 24.38
- 100 free – 51.67
- 100 back – 57.45
A rising senior at Parkersburg South High School, Claypoole placed second in both the 100 free and 100 back at the 2023 West Virginia State Championships. She earned silver in the 100 free and bronze in the 50 free as a sophomore.
