Futures Qualifier Alayna Carlson of Marlins of Raleigh Verbally Commits to LSU
NEW COMMIT: Louisiana State University has recently received a pair of new verbal commitments for their growing class of 2025 from Raleigh, N.C. native Alayna Carlson.
She will arrive in Baton Rouge in the fall of 2021 along with Jenna Bridges, Reagan Sweeney, Megan Braman, Peyton Curry, Emily Pawlaski, Sasha Ramey and Abby Maoz.

A talented backstroker and sprint freestyler, Carlson does her club swimming with Marlins of Raleigh and is a Futures qualifier. She was the 100 back runner-up at the ATOM December Invitational and took ninth in that event at North Carolina Seniors in 2019.
Her best times include:
- 50 back – 26.71
- 100 back – 56.78
- 200 back – 2:04.77
- 50 free – 23.85
- 100 free – 52.71
Also competing for Millbrook High School, Carlson is a four-time North Carolina 4A State Championship finalist. She placed ninth in the 100 back during her sophomore season and finished fifth in that event as a junior at the 4A Eastern Regional meet.
