Futures Champion Nathan Holty Will Stay Local, Sends Verbal to Ohio State
NEW COMMIT: Breaststroker and IMer Nathan Holty of Beavercreek, Ohio, has opted to remain in-state for his college career and has announced his verbal commitment to the Buckeyes for the fall of 2020.
Holty does his club swimming with Dayton Raiders and owns three U.S. Open standards. He capped off his breakout summer season by winning the 400m IM at Geneva Futures where he also placed fourth in the 200m IM and seventh in the 200m breast. Last winter, the two-time USA Swimming Scholastic All-American earned three best times at Juniors East before going on to final in two events at the Southern Premier Invitational. Also competing for Beavercreek High School while attending Dayton Regional STEM School, Holty placed 15th in the 200 IM as a junior at the Ohio State Championships.
He told Swimming World:
“I am very excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at The Ohio State University. I would like to thank all of my coaches, friends, and family who have helped me get to where I am today. Go Bucks!”
In SCY, best times include:
