Freestyler Marley Lovick Chooses Arizona State

NEW COMMIT: Freestyler Marley Lovick of Spring, Texas, has announced her verbal commitment to Arizona State University beginning in Fall 2025.

She will join Alexia Sotomayor and Nikolett Padar as a member of the Sun Devils’ Class of 2029.

She told Swimming World:

“I’m extremely excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Arizona State University! Thank you to my parents, friends, and amazing coaches for supporting me throughout my swim journey. I can’t wait to be part of the team!!!”

Lovick does her club swimming with The Woodlands Swim Team and had a trio of top-10 finishes at Southern Premier Invitational back in March. She most recently competed at the Texas Senior Circuit last month, placing 13th in the 400m free.

Her best times include:

  • 50 free – 23.59
  • 100 free – 51.08
  • 200 free – 1:50.92
  • 500 free – 5:00.17

A rising senior at The Woodlands College Park High School, Lovick placed 14th in the 100 free at the 2024 UIL 6A State Championships. She raced to fourth in the 100 free and eighth in the 200 free at the state meet in 2023 during her sophomore season.
