Four-Time TAPPS DI State Champion Stella Todd Verbally Commits to Kentucky for 2022
NEW COMMIT: The University of Kentucky has received their seventh verbal commitment for the 2022-23 season and beyond from Junior National qualifier Stella Todd of Richardson, Texas.
She will join Lucy Reber, Lydia Hanlon, Grace Frericks, Marin McKee, Jordan Agliano and Breckin Gormley in Lexington as a member of the Wildcats’ Class of 2026.
Regarding her commitment, she said:
“I am super excited to announce my verbal commitment to swim and study at the University of Kentucky!!! I couldn’t have done it without my friends, family, and coaches. GO CATS??!!”
A versatile swimmer, Todd does her club swimming with City of Richardson Swim Team and finaled in six events at the 18&U Winter Championships last month where her highest finish was a sixth-place showing in the 100 fly. In 2019, she was a three-time NCSA finalist and earned a pair of best times at Austin Sectionals.
Her best times include:
- 100 fly – 54.96
- 200 fly – 2:02.26
- 20 IM – 2:03.21
- 400 IM – 4:22.48
- 200 free – 1:51.84
- 500 free – 4:55.75
Currently a junior at Bishop Lynch High School, Todd is already a four-time individual TAPPS DI State Championship gold medallist. She won the 200 IM and 500 free as a sophomore while winning the 100 fly and 200 IM during her freshman season.
She has also earned USA Swimming Scholastic All-American honors for her efforts in the pool and in the classroom.
Under head coach Lars Jorgensen, the Wildcats finished third at the 2020 SEC Championships.
