Four-Time Pennsylvania State Champion Lily King Verbals to NC State for 2025

NEW COMMIT: Freestyler Lily King of Latrobe, Pennsylvania, has announced her verbal commitment to continue her academic and swimming career at NC State beginning in Fall 2025.

She will join Eneli Jefimova and Sydney Holfelder in Raleigh as part of NC State’s Class of 2029.

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“I could not be more excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at North Carolina State University!! I would like to thank my family, my coach Sandy, and my MP swim family who have supported me and helped me to get to this point. And a special thanks to the coaches at NC State for this opportunity! So excited to be a part of the Wolfpack!”

King trains year-round with Mount Pleasant Aquatic Club and most recently competed at Juniors East this past weekend where she placed sixth in both the 100 free and 200 free. She won the B-finals of the 100m free and 200m free at Junior Nationals this past summer after finaling in the 50m free and 100m free at Phillips 66 Nationals.

Her best times include:

  • 50 free: 22.58
  • 100 free: 48.58
  • 200 free: 1:46.28

Currently a junior at Mount Pleasant Area Jr/Sr High School, King won the 100 free and 200 free at the 2023 Pennsylvania 2A State Championships. She earned gold in the 50 free and 100 free as a freshman, making her a four-time state individual champion.

King’s top times are already just shy of the NCAA cutoffs.
