Florida Swimming & Diving to Not Allow Spectators For Home Opener Against Miami

The University of Florida Athletic Association has announced its spectator policy for the women’s swimming and diving home opener with the Miami Hurricanes on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2020 at the Ann Marie Rogers Swimming and Diving Pool inside the Stephen C. O’Connell Center.

As the UAA continues to work hand in hand during the COVID-19 pandemic with UF Health, campus leadership and the Southeastern Conference, it has been determined that the general public will not be permitted to attend Florida’s first home dual meet of the 2020-21 season versus the Hurricanes.

The in-state battle will begin with diving at 10:30 a.m., followed by the swimming events at 12:00 p.m.

The department will continue to evaluate its efforts to promote a culture of safety for the student-athletes, staff and fans and updates will be available before Florida’s home matchups against Texas A&M on Jan. 9, 2021 and North Florida on Jan. 20, 2021 (women only).
