AUSTIN, March 31. FOR the second time in two days, the world record in the men's 50 meter breaststroke was broken at the US National Swimming Championships in Austin, Texas.
On Thursday, Stanford's Anthony Robinson broke a five year-old mark with a time of 27.49 seconds. This afternoon, swimming in a special time trial, Ed Moses, of Curl-Burke Swim Club, lowered that time to 27.39 seconds. Three days ago Moses set the 100 meter mark at 1:00.29.
