Our Coaches
The heart of T Bar M is undoubtedly our coaches (that’s what we call counselors around here). These college kids are the best of the best, rigorously screened and extra–rigorously trained to do two things very, very well. The first thing: keep your kids safe. The second one: love your kid where they are. T Bar M coaches share a common passion to give kids the freedom to be who they are, free from the distractions of daily life or the pressures of their daily social circles. They excel at listening, at speaking from experience, and at modeling the love of Christ in real and practical ways.
The short story is, your kids are in very good hands. And we can’t thank you enough for trusting us with a week of their lives.
Josh Davis
In 1996 Josh Davis made history by becoming the only man in any sport from any nation at the Atlanta Olympic Games to win 3 gold medals. With a passion for representing our country, Josh returned to the Olympics in Sydney in 2000 where he was elected Captain of the USA Men’s swim Team. He went on to break the American record three times in his event the 200 meter free-style and won two silver medals at the 2000 Sydney Games. After 2 Olympics and 5 medals, Josh has established himself as ambassador for the sport of swimming and is pioneering the road for the next generation of professional swimmers.
Dan Lloyd
In 2006, Lloyd served as Assistant Coach for the Olympic / High Performance Training Group at Club Wolverine in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and worked under USA Olympic Coaches Bob Bowman and Jon Urbanchek in training middle distance and distance training groups. He worked with six Olympians, including Michael Phelps, Peter Vanderkaay, and Eric Vendt. During Lloyd’s time with Club Wolverine, the team produced three World Records, six American Records, seven FINA World Championship team members, 10 Pan Pacific Championship team members, and won the 2006 USA Swimming Summer Senior National Championship title.
