Ewen Cameron, Bartolo Consolo Elected Co-Presidents Of Swiss Swimming Federation
The Swiss Swimming Federation, Fédération Suisse de Natation (FSN), held their presidential elections last weekend while gathered in Ittigen, Berne. The result was a historic election in which the Federation elected their first ever co-presidents.
Dr. Ewen Cameron and Bartolo Consolo won the vote with a total of 364 votes, the highest voter participation since 2010. Cristian Rentsch, the third candidate, received a total of 111 votes.
Cameron and Consolo will take over the presidency, effective immediately, from Arnaldo Fedrigo who has served as president ad interim for the last four months after the departure of longtime president Frank Lutz.
The two co-presidents enter the position with prior experience. Consolo is the former president of the Italian Swimming Federation (FIN) and European Swimming (LEN), while Cameron, a sports physician by trade, has been a longtime doctor for the Swiss Federation.
