Dynamo Swim Club Teammates Ainsley Jones, Kyla Maloney Verbally Commit to Auburn’s Class of 2026

NEW COMMIT: Auburn University has wasted no time forming their Class of 2026 and has recently received a pair of verbal commitments from Atlanta, Ga. natives and Dynamo Swim Club teammates Ainsley Jones and Kyla Maloney.

Both talented swimmers will arrive on campus along with Carly Sebring at the start of the 2022-23 season.

AINSLEY JONES

Primarily a breaststroke, Jones has achieved the Olympic Trails standard in the 200m breast and finished third in that event at the Southern Premier Invitational in March. She placed fifth in the 200 breast and 12th in the 100 breast at Juniors East after earning three best times at the Toyota U.S. Open. Last summer, she raced to 13th place in the 200m breast at Junior Nationals.

Her best times include:

  • 100 breast – 1:02.61
  • 200 breast – 2:12.80
  • 200 IM – 2:03.53

Also competing for Dunwoody High School, Jones was the runner-up in the 100 breast and raced to fifth in the 200 IM during her rookie campaign at the Georgia 6A State Championships. She has also earned USA Swimming Scholastic All-American honors.

KYLA MALONEY

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“I could not be more excited to announce my verbal commitment to further my academic and athletic career at Auburn University!!! Thank you so much to my friends, family, teammates and coaches for being part of this amazing adventure! ??WAR EAGLE??”

A talented backstroker, Maloney owns the Olympic Trials cut in the 100m back and most recently earned bronze in the 100 back and took sixth in the 200 back at the Southern Premier Invitational in March. She placed 14th in the 100 back and 12th in the 200 back at Juniors East in December while taking eighth and 17th in those events at Greensboro Futures in summer 2019.

Her best times include:

  • 50 back – 25.82
  • 100 back – 54.40
  • 200 back – 1:57.84

Currently a junior at Chamblee Charter School, Maloney is already a four-time Georgia 4-5A State Championship finalist. She won the 100 back and finished third in the 200 free as a sophomore while taking second and sixth, respectively, in those events during her freshman season.
