Dylan Citta, Nick Radkov Announce Verbals to North Carolina for 2021-22 Season
NEW COMMITS: The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill has received a pair of verbal commitments for the 2021-22 season and beyond from Dylan Citta of Toms River, N.J. and Brooklyn, N.Y. native Nick Radkov.
Both swimmers will join Jay Baker, Walker Davis, and Ryan Silver as members of the Tar Heels’ class of 2025.
DYLAN CITTA
Regarding his commitment, he said:

A talented breaststroker, Citta swims year-round with Red Bank Aquarockets Y and owns the Junior National cut in the 100 breast with the U.S. Open standard in the 200 breast. He earned bronze in the 200 breast at New Jersey Seniors in February and finaled in the 100 breast at Y Nationals in 2019. Last summer, he placed fourth in the 200m breast and sixth in both the 50m and 100m breast at Y LCM Nationals.
His best times include:
- 100 breast – 55.45
- 200 breast – 2:03.39
- 200 IM – 1:55.47
NICK RADKOV
An incredibly versatile swimmer, Radkov does his club swimming with Peddie Aquatic Association and owns seven Junior National cuts. At Juniors East in December, he earned six best times and finaled in the 200 free. He grabbed gold in the 200m free at Rutgers Sectionals last summer before going on to win four events at the NJ LCM Junior Olympics.
His best times include:
- 100 free – 45.03
- 200 free – 1:38.56
- 500 free – 4:27.49
- 100 fly – 49.44
A current junior at the Peddie School, Radkov is a three-time Eastern Interscholastic Championship finalist. He collected silver in the 200 free and bronze in the 500 free in 2020 while taking 17th in the latter event during his sophomore season.
