Drew Johansen Selected as Head Coach of U.S. Olympic Diving Team

INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana University head diving coach Drew Johansen has been selected as the head coach of the 2016 U.S. Olympic Diving Team, USA Diving announced this week.
Johansen, who also was head coach of the 2012 Olympic Team, will guide a team of 10 divers that includes three Hoosiers – Jessica Parratto, Michael Hixon and Amy Cozad.
Parratto will team with Cozad to dive in the 10-meter synchro and will also dive in the individual 10-meter in Rio. Hixon will dive in the 3-meter synchro as well as the individual 3-meter.
Under Johansen at the 2012 London Olympics, the United States took home one gold, one silver and two bronze medals. The four medals were the most for Team USA in diving since the 1988 Olympic Games.
