Double Olympic Champion Becky Adlington Announces She Is Expecting Her Second Child
Double Olympic champion Becky Adlington has announced she is expecting her second child in February 2021 and her first with partner Andy Parsons.
Adlington, who concluded her Olympic career with four medals from four finals, is mother to five-year-old Summer with ex-husband Harry Needs. She was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame in 2018.
The 31-year-old Briton posted the announcement on social media, saying:
“Andy and I are excited to announce that we’re expecting. Summer can’t wait, she asks everyday to check my belly to see if it’s growing. Going to be a long wait until the end of feb !

Becky Adlington’s announcement comes as Olympic 100m breaststroke champion Adam Peaty and Eiri Munro await the imminent arrival of their son with Rio silver medallist Cameron van der Burgh and wife Nefeli Valakelis also also due to welcome their first born in September.
Cody Miller, third in 2016 behind Peaty and Van der Burgh, is also due to become a father in November with wife Ali.
