Diana Nyad Selected to Appear on Dancing With The Stars
HOLLYWOOD, California, March 4. DIANA Nyad, who captured the hearts and minds of the American public with her swim from Cuba to Florida last year, has been selected as part of the cast of season 18 of “Dancing With The Stars,” as announced on Good Morning America this morning.
Nyad joins a group that includes two Olympic gold medalists, several child stars, and even the host of The Price is Right Drew Carey.
Nyad has been paired with Australian professional dancer Henry Byalikov.
The show is undergoing a bit of a facelift this year, having swapped out their “sideline” personality with an actual sideline reporter in Erin Andrews. Additionally, the show plans on switching up pairings as the season goes on.
