Denver Picks Up First 2021 Verbal from Futures Champion Marco Nosack
NEW COMMIT: Four-time U.S. Open qualifier Marco Nosack of Beaverton, Ore. has announced his verbal commitment to the University of Denver beginning in the fall of 2021.
Primarily a breaststroker and IMer, Nosack swims year-round with Tualatin Hills Club and recently placed 13th in the 200 breast at Juniors West last month. This past summer, he was a four-time finalist at Mount Hood Sectionals before going on to win the 200m IM at Mount Hood Futures.
A current junior at Jesuit High School, Nosack is already a four-time Oregon 6A State Championship finalist. The two-time USA Swimming Scholastic All-American won the 100 breast and took fourth in the 200 IM during his sophomore season while fourth in both of those events as a freshman.
His best times include:
- 100 breast – 56.10
- 200 breast – 2:00.14
- 200 IM – 1:50.09
- 400 IM – 3:56.20
Nosack will make an immediate impact when he suits up for the Pios as a member of the class of 2025. He would’ve scored in the A-final of both IMs and both breaststroke events at the 2019 Summit League Championships where Denver earned their sixth-straight team title.
