Delaware State Champion Georgia Colborn Lends 2024 Verbal To Auburn

NEW COMMIT: Auburn University has received a new verbal commitment for the 2024-25 season from Junior National qualifier Georgia Colborn of Newark, Delaware.
She told Swimming World:
“I am super excited to announce my verbal commitment to swim and study at Auburn University! I would like to thank my family, friends and coaches for helping me get to where I am today! Also, I would like to thank the coaches at Auburn for giving me this opportunity. I am so excited to be a Tiger! WAR EAGLE!!!!!”
A talented butterflyer and backstroker, Colborn does her club swimming with Western Branch YMCA Wahoos and most recently placed 21st in the 200m fly and 24th in the 50m fly at YMCA LCM Nationals this past summer. Last winter, she raced two events at Juniors East before going on to compete at YMCA SCY Nationals.
Her top times include:
- 100 fly – 54.35
- 200 fly – 1:58.95
- 100 back – 55.67
- 200 back – 2:00.84
- 200 IM – 2:05.57
Currently a junior at the Charter School Of Wilmington, Colborn won the 100 fly and placed second in the 100 back at the 2022 Delaware State Championships. She won both of those events during her freshman season.
