Davidson Scores Verbal Commitment from Chale Jacks of Nation’s Capital Swim Club
NEW COMMIT: Davidson University has secured a verbal commitment for the 2020-21 season and beyond from Sterling, Va. native Chale Jacks.
A talented freestyler and butterflyer, Jacks swims year-round with Nation’s Capital Swim Club and recorded a pair of best times at NCSAs in March. Last winter, she finaled in the 200 fly at the Tom Dolan Invitational before going on to finish sixth in the 100 fly and 16th in the 50 free at the Potomac Valley SCY Championships.
Also competing for Potomac Falls High School, Jacks is a six-time Virginia 5A State Championship finalist. She finished seventh in the 50 free and 10th in the 100 free as a junior after racing to 12th in the 200 free and 15th in the 100 fly during her sophomore season.
She told Swimming World:

- 200 free – 1:55.10
- 50 fly – 26.24
- 100 fly – 57.03
- 200 fly – 2:05.77
When she suits up for the Wildcats as a member of the class of 2024, Jacks will add her talents to a training group led by Julia Goodhead, Anna Linzell, and Hope Carpenter. She’s just on the brink of scoring range at the Atlantic 10 Conference Championships and has made continuous improvements each season.
