Prior to getting the fifth Olympic Trials of her career underway, Dana Vollmer spoke with the media in a press conference Friday afternoon. Vollmer spoke about how these Trials are different from her previous four, mostly because of the perspective she gained from missing the team back in 2008 and from the birth of her son Arlen.
Vollmer revealed the plan for taking care of Arlen during Trials and whether or not he will travel to Rio if Vollmer should qualify. She also shares her thoughts on the record-breaking swims that Sarah Sjostom and Kelsi Worrell posted in her signature event, the 100 fly, during her brief absence from the sport.
