CSU Swim & Dive Releases 2018-19 Schedule

The Colorado State swimming and diving team, and head coach Woody Woodard, have released the 2018-19 schedule.
The Rams’ season begins with the Intermountain Shootout tri-meet in Grand Junction, Colo., on Oct. 5-6 against Colorado Mesa and BYU. CSU defeated both squads in the same meet last year.
CSU’s home opener will be a Border War matchup against Wyoming on Oct. 24. The Rams will also host Air Force on Jan. 19 and Northern Colorado on Feb. 1.
In total, CSU will compete in five dual meets and four multi-team meets.
CSU will go head-to-head against three different Mountain West programs during the season across three separate meets – Wyoming at home on Oct. 24, Air Force and New Mexico in Colorado Springs on Dec. 1 and a dual against Air Force on Jan. 19.
The Rams will again compete in the well-contested Phil Hansel Invite in Houston, Nov. 16-18. CSU took seventh at the event last season. The squad will compete in one additional invitational meet, hosted by Florida Atlantic in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on Dec. 20.
CSU’s diving squad will also compete at the Air Force Diving Invitational, Feb. 1-2, in Colorado Springs.
The 2019 Mountain West championships will be held in Minneapolis, Minn., Feb. 14-17.
The Rams had a successful 2017-18 campaign, culminating in a fifth-place finish at the Mountain West championships in mid-February. The team finished with an 8-3 dual meet record, its best since the 2009-10 season. Four returning Rams (Marie Goodwyn, Haley Rowley, Tonicia Thomas and Maddie Ward) earned All-MW honors last year, with Rowley taking MW Swimmer of the Year recognition.
