Connor Stirling, Arizona’s Top Recruit, Signs With BYU

CAVE CREEK – Connor Stirling, the top-ranked recruit in Arizona according to CollegeSwimming.com, signed his National Letter of Intent to attend Brigham Young University.
Stirling, also ranked 21st in the Class of 2015, preps at Cactus Shadows High School and trains with Life Time Arizona.
“The decision was very hard but with the help of my friends, family and coach Nate Moore I was able to make the perfect decision for me!” Stirling told Swimming World. “BYU will be a great fit and with their great people, education and swim program I look forward to contributing to their team!”
Stirling will bring a sprint presence to BYU as his top times are a 20.30 in the 50-yard free and a 43.88 in the 100-yard free. Both times swum at the Arizona State High School Championships.
Stirling also extends out to the 200-yard free with a 1:37.54, while also owning a 49.65 in the 100-yard back.
In terms of long course competition, Stirling owns a 23.24 in the 50-meter free and a 51.86 in the 100-meter free.
