Men’s 400 Free

Texas’ Clark Smith jumped to an early lead in finals of the men’s 400 free, but was soon met by a charging Jay Litherland as the race neared completion. Smith was able to hold off Litherland to finish first with a time of 3:49.40, while Litherland collected second with a 3:50.96.

Marcela Acosta collected the bronze with a third-place finish of 3:52.49, just ahead of True Sweetser. Sweetser grabbed fourth with a close 3:52.83.

Fifth place went to Liam Egan who posted a final time of 3:53.17, followed by Ricardo Vargas Jacobo’s 3:55.23.

Jeremy Bagshaw (3:56.77), Matt Hutchins (3:56.99), and Grant Shoults (3:59.75) rounded out the ‘A’ final.
