Claire Curzan, 12, of Raleigh Swimming unleashed some serious speed while swimming at the 2017 North Carolina State SC Age Group Championships.
Curzan took down two NAG records en route to her victory of 54.38 in the 100 fly. The 12-year-old split a 24.66 at the 50-yard mark to take down Ella Eastin’s 2010 NAG record of 24.87, before soaring past her own 100 fly NAG record of 54.57.
The 12-year-old’s time also re-writes her North Carolina State record of 54.57 set in December of 2016.
